scope of position
The Sales Director is responsible for planning, developing and implementing policies and objectives of the sales and marketing functions for DTS, in accordance with the strategic objectives of the European organisation.
He/She must have an excellent understanding of our channels to market as well as the manufacturing cycle.
With the support of a Product Manager, conceptualises and implements market strategy in order to achieve sales targets. Oversees and provides direction to market and competitor analysis, as well as market research.
Provides leadership and direction in the development of sales employees, communicating goals, desired behaviours and performance, as well as actual performance to goal.
Develops sales objectives, budgets, and plans based on the European strategic and financial goals.
Sales strategy & policy
Develops and implements company policies on sales activities including terms, incentives, discounts, promotions, etc.
Provides leadership and supports the design, development and implementation of products and service lines. Identifies product development opportunities.
o Higher education - Commercial High School, with technical background and with a minimum of 5 to 10 years of sales and management experience
o Experience within an industrial environment with a minimum of 2 to 3 years
o Fluent English is essential
o Strong management capabilities: able to lead, motivate and develop his people
o Strategic thinking
o Demonstrated strong negotiating and communication skills
o Financial and budgeting skills
o Must be proactive, aggressive, and challenging in support of our business goals and constantly identify and pursue improvement opportunities
o Must be a self-starter with a passion for establishing mutually beneficial relationships with both internal and external people
o Must maintain on-going clear and frequent communications to insure that any problems encountered are quickly resolved.
o Strong ability to influence functional resources to support the sales plan.
o Sales team France: 1 Sales Manager + 5 sales professionals + 3 agents
o Sales team Export: 1 Sales Manager + national agents
o 1 Product Manager
Sales Turnover: 13M€ in 2008 (France + Export)
- Compensation : 60 to 80 K € + bonus, according to profile and experience
